New features by Ineke Smits (The Aviatrix Of Kazbek), Nicholas Kendall (The Singing House), Gyorgy Palfi (Taxidermia), Pablo Trapero (Rolling Family), Damjan Kozole (The Dark Side Of Earth) and Joan Chen (The Concubine) are among 68 projects from 27 countries being pitched at the 7th edition of the Mannheim Co-Production Meetings during the forthcoming Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival (November 20-29).

The Meetings are structured into four regional sections with projects from North and West Europe (Nov 21-25), East Europe (Nov 21-24), Canada (Nov 22-25) and Latin America (Nov 23-25) being presented to potential partners in pre-arranged one-to-one meetings. Canada is well represented this year with 12 projects, followed by Germany (9), Hungary (6), and Argentina and France (4 each).

The budgets of the projects range from Kazakh filmmaker Marat Magambetov's Euros 180,000 DV feature Dog's Night to Mexican director Maryse Sistach Perret's Happy Valentine's Day (Nobody Sees You) which Producciones Tragaluz is preparing with projected production costs of Euros 9.1m.

More than 30 international co-productions including Lovely Rita, Ghetto, El Viaje A Hacia El Mar and Suzhou River found production partners at previous editions of the Co-Production Meetings.
