Scandinavian sales outfit TrustNordisk has announced deals closed here. Cold Prey II has gone to Indonesia (MT Entertainment) and Brazil (Flashstar). The Candidate has been sold to Indonesia (Mt Ent) and Poland (Syrena Films). Dark Floors has gone to Indonesia (MT Ent) and Love At First Hiccup has been swallowed up by Kino Swiat (Poland).

Hong Kong's Media Asia has done a raft of deals including Johnnie To-produced Accident to Rose Media for Thailand, Kaewon for Korea and Horizon for Turkey. Andrew Lau's romance Look For A Star starring Andy Lau and Shu Qi went to Rose Media and Sky City Cinema for New Zealand. Johnnie To-directed Death Of A Hostage sold to Maywin for Russia. Sky City Cinema also picked up action film Lady Cop & Papa Crook.

Japanese major TBS has sold disaster movie Pandemic to Bona Entertainment for Hong Kong, China and Taiwan, and to J Bics Films for Thailand. TBS said that Pandemic would be released Jan 17 in Japan on more than 350 screens.

After successfully packed screenings in their private Blu-Ray projection screening room, Fuji TV and Pony Canyon have sold adolescent romance drama Threads of Destiny, ensemble comedy Happy Flight, and drama Nobody To Watch Over Me to Continental for Hong Kong and Cathay for Singapore.

Japan's Tornado Film is continuing on its sales run, selling suspense thrillers Goth and Grotesque, and horror films Twilight Syndrome - Cruise Of Death, and Twilight Syndrome - Theme Park Of Death to Sahamongkol for Thailand.

Goth is about two high school students who are fascinated by death and the mystery that follows when a series beautiful women are killed in their neighborhood.

Grotesque is billed as 'the cruelest Japanese splatter movie', with a girl and his boyfriend who wake up bound and gagged strapped to separate walls of a sealed room.

Tavix Pictures has closed a handful of deals here on its terrorism thriller Hired Gun starring Michael Madsen, Shane Wood and Fahim Fazli.

Sales chief Casey Evans licensed rights have gone to Prorom for Romania and Phoenicia Pictures International for the Middle East. Tavix holds North American rights.

Vision Films has closed several European deals on its crime drama The Harder They Come starring Jimmy Cliff.

Rights have gone to Isaan Entertainment in Spain, Arsenal Films in Germany and Dutch FilmWorks in Benelux. Xenon will release in the US.

Cliff plays a young reggae songwriter who heads out to the Jamaican capital Kingston in search of fame and fortune.
