Alcon Entertainment, based at Warner Bros, has acquired Abdul Williams’ script Lottery Ticket, in turnaround from Rogue Pictures.

Alcon will finance and produce the urban comedy as a starring vehicle for Bow Wow (Shad Moss) and Ice Cube.

Music video veteran Erik White, who has worked with Chris Brown, OutKast and P. Diddy, will make his feature directorial debut with the project, set to shoot starting in October in Atlanta.

Bow Wow will play a young man who has to survive a three-day weekend in the projects without his neighbors finding out he’s got a winning lottery ticket worth $350m.

Alcon co-founders and co-CEOs Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove will produce, along with Mark Burg and Oren Koules of Evolution (the company that also manages White and Williams). Matt Alvarez of Ice Cube’s production company, Cube Vision, will also produce. Evolution’s Brad Kaplan and Andrew Wilson will co-produce.

The film will be released through Alcon’s output deal with Warner.

Johnson and Kosove said in a statement: “This is a fresh, funny script and Erik’s take on the material is exactly what we’re looking for.”

Writer Williams previously worked in development for Carl Franklin and Denzel Washington.
