Golden Network has picked up international rights to Hong Kong-based director Antony Szeto's Wushu, which is currently in pre-production.

Produced by Hong Kong's Hippopotamus Films, the $1.5m drama is a coming-of-age story set in a martial arts school in a remote corner of China.

Szeto is an award-winning action choreographer who recently worked on Naresuan ,directed by Thailand's Prince Chatrichalerm Yuko.

He's also attached to direct drama Jessica Caught On Tape, set to star Evelyn Ng and Anthony Wong, for Hippopotamus.

Meanwhile, Golden Network has also recently picked up Chinese New Year hit McDull, The Alumni, produced by Applause Pictures, and award-winning independent dramab420, directed by Mathew Tang and starring Miki Yeung and Sam Lee.

The company is also pre-selling Wu Tian Ming's Little Eagle, scripted by March Of The Penguins screenwriter Michel Fessler; pan-Asian martial arts epic The War, to be directed by Yuen Woo-ping, and Fruit Chan's $7m martial arts action film Neon Glows In Myanmar.
