Arclight Films has added Australian skateboarding movie Deck Dogz to its sales slate. The film is directed by Steve Pasvolsky, who was nominated for a short live action Oscar for his film Inja, and is being produced by Bill and Jennifer Bennett and their b:j films.

Bill Bennett is the acclaimed Australian director of Kiss Or Kill and In A Savage Land, in the financing of both of which pictures Arclight's managing director Gary Hamilton was closely involved.

Pasvolsky also wrote Deck Dogz which is the story of three youths who skate across Sydney to meet their idol, 12-time world champion Tony Hawk who is holding a competition for pro sponsorship.

The Bennetts are currently in discussion with Hawk himself (who recently appeared as himself in the 300th episode of The Simpsons) about being involved in the production. b:j films recently completed The Nugget starring Eric Bana and are in development on Fast Car, a large budget action movie centred around rally-driving in the Australian outback.
