Arclight Films has bulked upits AFM slate by picking up international rights to Bigas Luna's comedy-drama YoSoy La Juani.

Arclight did the deal withManga Films and Luna, whose picture has already made a mark on the Spanish boxoffice and grossed more than $1.7m in two weeks.

Yo Soy La Juani tells of two young Spanish women who decide to moveto Madrid in search of fame, fortune and fun. Veronica Echegui, Laya Marti andDani Martin star.

Luna wrote the screenplayand produced with Luis De Val Jr. 'We're very excited about extending ourrelationship with Luis De Val and Manga Films,' Arclight Films managingdirector Gary Hamilton said. 'They have always been great partners. We'reoptimistic that there will be a steady stream of product coming fromthem.'

'Bigas Luna has made awonderfully crafted, fun film that we believe will have worldwide massappeal,' president of international sales Jonathan Deckter said.

'Gary and the Arclightteam have always supported us and we're looking forward to working together inthis new capacity,' De Val Jr added.

The agreement was negotiatedby Producer Luis De Val Jr. and Jonathan Deckter of Arclight Films.
