Acclaimed Argentinian director Juan Jose Campanella will begin shooting his sixth feature film La Pregunta De Sus Ojos (The Question of His Eyes) this September in Buenos Aires.

Campanella's own outfit 100 Bares will co-produce the film with local producer Jorge Estrada Mora and Gerardo Herrero's Tornasol Films of Spain.

The director of international hits such as Son of the Bride, which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2002, and Moon of Avellaneda (2004) has cast Ricardo Darin and Soledad Villamil, the same couple of his 1999 romantic comedy Same Love, Same Rain, as the leads in his new project.

Darin, of course, was also the star of Son Of The Bride and Moon Of Avallaneda.

Campanella wrote the screenplay with Eduardo Sacheri, the author of the novel on which the movie is based. Pre-production begins in July.

La Pregunta De Sus Ojos tells the story of Benjamin Chaparro (Darin), a retired judicial employee who decides to write a novel based on a 1970's political murder case in which he was involved. 'It's an impossible love story, a film about pain, memory, morality and redemption,' Campanella explained.

After Moon of Avellaneda Campanella directed, wrote and produced the seven-part Argentinian-Spanish miniseries Viento de Agua (Winds of Water) and directed multiple episodes of US TV series Law & Order, House and 30 Rock.
