ContentFilm Internationalhas taken worldwide rights to Richard Attenborough's forthcoming epic, ClosingThe Ring. ContentFilm isco-financing the film with the Bank of Ireland.

Oscar-winning directorAttenborough will co-produce with Jo Gilbert. Shirley MacLaine is attached tostar, and discussions are ongoing with other actors.

Closing The Ring is a UK-Canadian co-production to be shot onlocation in Belfast and Canada, with the production based out of Belfast's newTitanic Studios (headed by Gilbert and sister Judy). Principal photography willstart in March 2006.

"We're really proud tobe working with Lord Attenborough," said Jamie Carmichael, managingdirector of ContentFilm International. "I've grown up watching his moviesand he's clearly one of the world's foremost film-makers of our time."

The story, based on trueevents, is a romantic drama set in the US and Ireland, about a woman whose lifeis changed when she finds a gold ring on an Irish hillside.

Peter Woodward, actor andson of Edward Woodward, makes his feature writing debut. Jools Holland(ex-Squeeze) will score the film.

ContentFilm said there areno pre-sales confirmed as of yet.
