AV Pictures has closed more deals on its hot seller Black Water, including a North American deal with Grindstone Entertainment Group.

Other new deals at the end of Cannes included France (Free Dolphin Entertainment), Germany (Legend), Scandinavia (Nobel Entertainment), CIS (Lizard Cinema Trade), Mexico & Central America (Cine Video y TV) and Former Yugoslavia (Mirius Tuck).

As Screen previously reporter, the crocodile thriller previously sold to the UK (The Works), Brazil (PlayArte), Indonesia & Malaysia (Ram Indo), Middle East (Falcon Films), Philippines (Pioneer), Thailand (J-Bics) and Turkey (Horizon International) have also bitten on the film. Deals had previously been closed in Berlin for Japan (Presidio), Spain & Portugal (Notro Films) and Benelux (FEG).

Inspired by true events, Black Water is a terrifying tale of death and survival in the Mangrove Swamps of Australia. The film stars newcomers Maeve Dermody, Diana Glenn and Andy Rodoreda and was written and directed by Andrew Traucki and David Nerlich

AV's slate also includes The Tournament, Daylight Robbery and Flick.
