The two-time Oscar nominee, back in action this weekend as the evil Bellatrix Lestrange in the final Harry Potter episode, will collect the Britannia Award for British Artist Of The Year at the 2011 Britannia Awards in Los Angeles on Nov 30.

In a statement BAFTA LA chairman Nigel Lythgoe called Bonham Carter “an actress of immense versatility… at once remarkable and fearless.”

Bonham Carter earned a supporting actress Oscar nomination earlier this year for The King’s Speech and was in the running for the lead actress Academy Award in 1998 for The Wings of A Dove.

Her credits include Fight Club, Alice In Wonderland and Howard’s End. She will play Miss Havisham in Mike Newell’s upcoming Great Expectations for BBC Films and Number 9 Films.

As previously announced John Lasseter will receive the Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Filmed Entertainment and David Yates will collect the John Schlesinger Britannia Award for Excellence In Directing.

BAFTA LA is yet to unveil the recipients of this year’s Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence In Film and the Charlie Chaplin Award for Excellence In Comedy.
