Three-year deal with China’s leading internet television company begins with BAFTA Film Awards.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced that leading China internet television company Youku Tudou, will stream the British Academy Film Awards on Feb 9 (Mon) for the very first time.

It marks part of a new three-year deal with BAFTA.

Alongside the awards, the BAFTA-Youku Tudou package includes streaming of the British Academy Games Awards, the British Academy Television Awards and the long-running series of on-stage interviews, BAFTA A Life in Pictures.

IMG, a global leader in sports, media and fashion, brokered the deal on behalf of BAFTA.

The BAFTAs will take place at London’s Royal Opera House on Feb 8 (Sun).
