Mad Max: Fury Road won nine awards as the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) and Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA) announced their winners in Los Angeles on Sunday.
The film earned best director for George Miller, as well as honours for production design, editing and visual effects.
Tom Hardy was named best actor in an action movie and Charlize Theron best actress in an action movie.
Spotlight was named best film and also won screenplay and acting ensemble. Leonardo DiCaprio won best actor for The Revenant and Brie Larson best actress for Room.
