The Bangkok International Film Festival (July 19-29) has unveiled its full international competition lineup, including three prize winners from Cannes: Lucia Penzo's XXY (which won Critics Week), Edge Of Heaven by Fatih Akin (which took the screenwriting Palme d'Or) and Marjane
Satrapi and Vincent Parronaud's
Persepolis (joint winner of the Jury Prize)

Other titles added to the international competition section include Zhang Yang's Getting Home and Francois Ozon's Angel, in addition to previously announced Ploy by Pen-ek Ratanaruang, Joseph Cedar's Beaufort, Zero Chou's Spider Lilies, Li Yu's Lost In Beijing and Prasanna Jayakody's Sankara.

The international competition forms part of the Golden Kinnaree Awards which also includes an ASEAN competition and short film competition. The ASEAN competition lineup was announced last week (see link right).

The Golden Kinnaree Awards will be presented on July 28.
