TheUK's Soda Pictures and Australia's DendyFilms are among the latest distributors to have picked up Philip Groening's documentary IntoGreat Silence on life in the legendary Carthusianorder of monks.

Salesagent Bavaria Film International has also sold all rights to Canada's Mongrel Media and France's Diaphana,joining previous sales made since the film's premiere at the 2005 Venice FilmFestival to Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Austria as well as to Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Poland.

Bavariareported that the film's Italian distributor Metacinemahas already posted gross receipts of more than $524,650 (Euros 500,000) affter only four weeks release on 44 screens, while theGerman distributor X Verleih still has the film on 20screens after 25 weeks and has taken more than $1.25m (Euros 1m) at the boxoffice.
