BavariaFilm International has picked up world sales rights outside ofSpain for Spanish director Ines Paris' Miguel & William, about a fictitiousencounter between Miguel de Cervantes and William Shakespeare and their rivalryin love of a beautiful woman.

Featuring Spain's European Shooting Star 2004 ElenaAnaya, the UK's Will Kemp, double Goya-winner JuanLuis Galiardo and veteran actress Geraldine Chaplin, Miguel & William is one of the highest-profile productions in Spain this year.

Budgeted at$10.2m (Euros 8m) - the most expensive film ever directed by a woman in Spain -the drama has been co-produced by Miguel& William (a Spanish start-up company founded by film professionals includingnactor Juan Luis Galiardo) with Antonio Saura's Zebra Producciones, Don Quijotede la Mancha 2005, SA.and the UK's Future Film Group.

BavariaFilm International will present the first minutes of footage at the forthcomingmarket at the new Rome Film Fest. Warner Bros will release Miguel & William in Spain in February 2007.
