A host of leading newcomedic talent has lined up for Confetti,a mockumentary-style comedy that started shooting this month for BBC Films.

Directed by Debbie Isitt,best known for hit TV series NastyNeighbours, the cast is headed by Martin Freeman from TV show The Office and Jessica Stevenson, whosecredits include Shaun Of The Dead.Also appearing are Steve Mangan (GreenWing), Felicity Montagu (I'm AlanPartridge) and stand-up comedian Jimmy Carr. Alison Steadman, whose creditsinclude Mike Leigh's Topsy Turvy and Life Is Sweet, adds some experience tothe line-up.

The Wasted Talent productioncharts the journey of three couples as they battle it out to win the title ofMost Original Wedding of the Year. Isitt is shooting for six weeks, workingwithout a script but within a story frame. The actors developed their rolesthrough workshops in the run-up to shooting.

Producing duties are sharedby Wasted Talent's Ian Flooks and Ian Benson, with further backing from ScreenWest Midlands.
