Becker Films International is to handle worldwide sales on WhereLove Reigns, which is being set up as an official tri-partite productionbetween the UK, Canada and South Africa and has Martin Scorsese on board asexecutive producer.

Thefilm is based on the true story of the torrid love affair in the early 1900sbetween one of the founding fathers of modern psychology, Carl Jung, and hisyoung and seriously disturbed patient Sabina Spielrein. In real life sheinfluenced both his and Sigmund Freud's theories and developed into animportant psychoanalyst herself.

Where Love Reigns will be directed by newcomerDavid Ness from a script adapted by British writer Snoo Wilson from his ownoriginal stage play titled Sabina.

Tim Hampton is producing alongside co-producers Chee KeongCheung, Robert Weston, Martin Katz and Philo Pieterse. British cinematographerand director Jack Cardiff is acting as a creative consultant.

Anactress to play Sabina has yet to be found, but the film is scheduled toshoot in the UK and South Africa from February. Douglas Henshall is to playJung and Simon Callow will play his colleague Eugene Bleuler. The on-screenFreud has also been cast but the deal is not signed off.

ReikoBradley, who set up the Sydney-based sales company as a joint venture withRichard Becker about a year ago, will be presenting Where Love Reignsfor the first time at the American Film Market next month. Also on her slate isFive Worlds, a set of stories from the Islamic world's most highlyregarded directors, produced by the team behind Osama.
