Parent, who is chairperson of MGM's Worldwide Motion Picture Group, yesterday named former New Line executive Cale Boyter as executive vice president, production.

Sloviter has worked with Parent for some years, most recently as an executive at Stuber/Parent Productions which was based at Universal, and before that at Universal where Parent was production chief.
