UK singer David Essex has joined the cast of Tribe, an adaptation of John F. McDonald’s novel, which is currently shooting in the South East of England.

McDonald has adapted his own novel for the screenplay, which looks at the world of the traveller community through the eyes of a boy whose father is a gypsy and whose mother is a non gypsy. Essex stars alongside newcomer Billy Cook and Kerrie Hayes

Argy Films is producing the film, which is the debut feature of Benjamin Johns. Filming is taking place in Dorset, UK.
