Australia's Beyond International made a profit of $1.1m (A$2.25m) for the 12 months to June 30, a reversal of fortunes given the $1.6m (A$3.2m) net loss recorded for the previous financial year. Total revenues grew by 10% to $48.5m (A$96.98m), about 85% of which came from television production and international television sales.

Although Beyond Films reported an 11% improvement on the previous period, the final result was a net loss after tax of $205,562 (A$411,000). The parent company also suffered from a $201,173 (A$402,000) share of the losses of associated company Beyond Online.

The result from the film division was below expectations and was attributed to the delayed delivery of Taking Sides and the postponement of production on Boswell For The Defence. Results are expected to improve significantly in the current financial year. Beyond is sales agent on three new films that got the greenlight from the Australian Film Finance Corporation recently. They are Take Away, Crackerjack and Horseplay.
