Shooting has begun on Just For The Record, a mockumentary looking at the world of low budget film-making.

Newcomer Steve Lawson will direct and the project stars Danny Dyer, Rik Mayall and Victoria Silvstedt.

Black & Blue Films, the production company behind the film, has three other projects lined up to shoot this year including Post-apocalyptic zombie film, Devil’s Playground, and gangster epic The Manor. Dyer is also attached to star in both. The third project My Former Self, a thriller set in the music industry, will star Alison Doody. Arclight will handle sales on Devil’s Playground.

Black & Blue Films was formed in 2007 by Martin Kemp, actor and member of British band Spandau Ballet, and Jonathan Sothcott. Earlier this month, actor and producer Billy Murray joined the pair as a company director. Murray’s executive producer credits include Rise of the Footsoldier, Doghouse and Freight.

The company’s slate also includes the thriller Expose, written and directed by Kemp and produced by Sothcott. It stars Jane March, Billy Murray, Colin Salmon, Anna Brecon, Jennifer Matter and Triana Terry. It is hoped the film will be released in October to coincide with Kemp’s Spandau Ballet reunion tour.

Meanwhile, it also has The Baseline, which Murray, Sothcott and Kemp are executive producers on the gangster film, which stars Jamie Foreman and Dexter Fletcher.

Moviehouse Entertainment is handling worldwide sales on Expose and Baseline.
