MDP Worldwide is to produce 10 Again, Blake Edwards’ remake of his 1979 hit, 10, MDP chairman and CEO Mark Damon announced at the AFM.

Edwards will write and direct the picture, which originally starred Dudley Moore as the lovelorn jet setter in search of the perfect mate, famously played by Bo Derek. Casting is set to begin immediately and principal photography is scheduled to kick off in August in the UK and undetermined tropical islands. MDP holds worldwide rights and will handle international sales.

‘In the 25 years since I made the original, 10 has become synonymous with perfection around the world,’ Edwards said in a statement. ‘It’s one of my favourite films and though the look will be new, the message is still the same. It’s a classic ‘grass is always greener’ tale - sexy and fun - that will resonate in today’s marketplace.’

MDP’s AFM slate includes Matthew Ryan Hodge’s drama The United States Of Leland, Roland Suso Richter’s The I Inside and Patty Jenkins’ Monster.
