Director John Boorman will preside over the competition juryat the upcoming 61st Venice Film Festival, with other jury members set toinclude Spike Lee and Scarlett Johansson, the Biennale has announced.

Boorman, Lee and Johansson will be joined on the festival's main Venice 61 jury by Italian Oscar-winning film editor Pietro Scalia (JFK,Black Hawk Down), German director WolfgangBecker (Goodbye Lenin!), Italian director Mimmo Calopresti, Serbian filmmaker Ducan Makavejev and Taiwaneseactress and producer Xu Feng (Farewell My Concubine).

Meanwhile, Etre et Avoirdirector Nicolas Philibert will head the jury of Venezia Orizzonti, acompetition dedicated to innovative cinema. Other jury members will bewriter-director Brian Helgeland, and Italian actress-writer-director FiorellaInfascelli.

Venice's new digital competition strand, VeneziaDigitale, will be headed by Mike Figgis, who will be joined by Japaneseproducer Shozo Ichiyama and French-Moroccan director Claire Simon.
