The film, which had its European premiere in the Berlinale's Panorama section as a Panorama Special, has also been picked up by Israel's Gil Productions. Beta Cinema's head of theatrical sales/acquisitions Andreas Rothbauer revealed that he has "several interested parties" for Spanish speaking Latin America and would like to identify one distributor to handle all of these territories.

In addition, "an offer is on the table from the US and we have several offers from Eastern Europe," he said.

Meanwhile, Hendrik Handloegten's Learning To Lie (Liegen Lernen) was sold to Orlando Films, the Israeli distributor of Good Bye, Lenin!, and Russia's Partner Video Film Company, and a deal with Spain is expected to be completed "in the next few weeks." Soloalbum was sold to Russian distributor Believen

"We have also made some sales on our classics", Rothbauer noted. "We have had a great demand for The Mad Adventures Of Rabbi Jacob and sold Fellini's La Strada to Israel's Isaac Shani Films."

Meanwhile, Media Luna Entertainment continued having "a really good market", according to managing director Ida Martins, with sales of Seven Days, Seven Nights to Spain, for Bonjour Monsieur Shlomi to Canal Plus Scandinavia, and all Scandinavian rights being picked up for Cowboys & Angels.
