Another solid weekend haul for Universal's The Bourne Ultimatum saw
the spy thriller close in on $100m as it reclaimed the weekend crown
from Shrek The Third.

The spy thriller grossed an estimated $16.5m through UPI from 3,660
venues in 37 territories to elevate the running total to $98.8m. It is
expected to cross $100m on Monday.

Weekend business was buoyed by five number one debuts led by Germany,
where it took $5m from 702 sites, and Mexico on $1.5m from 376.
Austria generated $850,000 from 91.

Bourne held on to top spot in Australia on $3.1m from 246 for $9.9m
after two weekends. It ranked third in the UK on $2.2m from 444 sites
for $40m after four.

There are 20 territories to open including France and Belgium on Sept
12 and China on Nov 15.

Run Fat Boy, Run took the number one spot in the UK, taking $3.7m from 413 sites.

Venice opener Atonement took $3.2m from 410 sites. The Ian McEwan adaptation opens around the world through UPI in the
coming months, with many territories set to launch in 2008.

I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry added $5.4m at 1,600 sites in 22
territories and raised the total to $15.4m.

The comedy opened top in Russia on $1.2m from 331 sites, second place
Italy on $1m from 184 sites, and third in Brazil on $600,000 at 150.

There are 33 territories to open including the UK on Sept 21 and
Germany on Sept 27.

Knocked Up took $4.1m from 1,520 sites in 19 territories for $44.5m.
It opened top in Taiwan on $178,000 at 51 dates, and held well in
second place in Germany on $1.4m from 564 for $6.9m after three
weekends.

There are still 30 territories to go including the Netherlands on Sept
27, France on Oct 10, Italy on Oct 19 and Spain on Oct 31.

Evan Almighty added $2.3m from 2,100 locations in 38 territories for
$52m and stands at $12m in the UK, $5m in Mexico, $4.6m in Spain, and
$3.5m in Germany.

Ratatouille crossed $200m as $8.5m from 2,809 screens in 34 countries
boosted the tally to $200.9m.

The animated hit became the 26th Disney release to cross $200m
overseas and the 18th to cross $400m worldwide - both marks are
industry records for a distributor.

The film scored a number one or two launch in Australia on $2.9m from
255 and a clear number one debut in New Zealand on $380,000 from 75.
School holidays begin in both countries on Monday.

Ratatouille remained the number one film for the sixth weekend in a
row in France as $1.5m from 749 raised the tally to $52.6m. The film
is the second biggest film of the year-to-date and stands
approximately $500,000 behind Spider-Man 3's tally.

It is the top animated film of the year in Japan on $31.2m and stands
at $17.7m in Spain.

Underdog had its first international launch, taking $510,000 from 100
screens in Brazil.

Paramount Pictures International's (PPI) Shrek the Third crossed $450m
after adding $8m from 1,933 locations in 63 territories for $451m.

The largest contribution came from Italy, where the film grossed $4.3m
from 613 screens after dropping 47% for $20.1m.

Disturbia grossed an estimated $3m from 1,303 locations in 46
territories for $24.7m, Stardust added $1.5m from 641 sites in seven
territories for $16.1m following a $1m number two debut in Mexico on
314. Transformers raised its tally by $1.9m from 2,047 screens in 63
territories for $378.9m.

Fox International's Die Hard 4.0 added $4.4m from 1,500 screens in 19
markets for $227.8m, buoyed by a $3.7m number one launch in Spain on
555 screens that took 40% market share.

The Simpsons Movie raised its tally by $4.1m from 4,000 screens in 38
markets for $309.4m. Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer stands
at $142.8m and 28 Weeks Later has amassed $29.2m.

Warner Bros Pictures International's Harry Potter And The Order Of The
Phoenix added $3.6m from 4,300 prints in 58 territories to $635m.

In its eighth weekend in Japan the film added $833,000 (¥96.5m) from
590 screens for $74.3m (¥8.9bn).

No Reservations grossed $3.6m from more than 1,500 prints in 30
markets for an $18.2m international running total.

Ocean's Thirteen stands at $190.3m and has amassed $26.1m in the UK,
$16.8m in Germany, $13m in France, $10.9m in Spain, and $10.3m in
Australia.

Surf's Up added $1.4m through Sony Pictures Releasing International
from 1,655 screens in 33 markets for $39.3m.
