EXCLUSIVE: Films released through Sony Pictures Releasing International (SPRI) generated $1.235bn for the calendar year according to studio sources.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 led the way on $506.1m rising to $708.9m worldwide followed by Robocop on $152.9m rising to $184.1m including MGM licensees and $242.7m worldwide.

22 Jump Street
produced $140.1m internationally and achieved a $331.8m global haul.

Sex Tape
grossed $87.5m internationally and $126.1m worldwide, The Equalizer $85.3m and $190m-plus worldwide.

Deliver Us From Evil grossed $57.4m internationally and $87.9m worldwide, while Fury, which QED International fully financed and licensed to Sony for the US and select international territories, grossed $60.6m from the SPRI portion.

The war film’s overall international running total in 2014 rises to $105.1m including QED’s independent distributors and remains in release. The global tally in 2014 came to approximately $190m.
