Screen Gems’ rom-com ousted The Hunger Games, ending a fine four-weekend run at the top for Lionsgate’s global smash.

Tim Story directed Think Like A Man and the ensemble cast includes Michael Ealy, Kevin Hart, Gabrielle Union, Taraji P Henson and Meagan Good.

Warner Bros’ Nicholas Sparks romance The Lucky One starring Zac Efron as an ex-Marine alongside Taylor Schilling opened in second place on $22.8m. Scott Hicks directed.

The Hunger Games had to settle for third place and added $14.5m for $356.9m in the week that Lionsgate announced that Francis Lawrence would direct the sequel, Catching Fire. The Hunger Games incidentally is returning to IMAX and will screen on 100 IMAX screens for one week starting on Apr 27.

Disneynature’s documentary Chimpanzee arrived in fourth place on $10.2m through Buena Vista.

Lionsgate’s widely admired postmodern horror release The Cabin In The Woods fell three places to number six and has grossed $26.9m after two weekends.

The Bob Marley documentary Marley opened through Magnolia Pictures on $260,000 from 42 theatres while SPC opened the comedy Darling Companion with Diane Keaton and Kevin Kline on $46,300 from four for a solid $11,575 per-site average.

Next weekend’s wide releases include Universal’s comedy The Five-Year Engagement with Emily Blunt and Jason Segel, which opened Tribeca last week; Sony/Aardman Animations’ Pirates! Band Of Misfits; Relativity’s gothic mystery The Raven starring John Cusak; and Lionsgate’s thriller Safe starring Jason Statham.
