As the UK has an exceedingly strong Toronto, the Dinard British Film Festival has announced its lineup for the 19th edition (Oct 2-5)

The competition line-up for the Golden Hitchcock is:
Chris Waitt's A Complete History Of My Sexual Failures
John Crowley's Boy A
Neil Thompson's Clubbed
Rupert Wyatt's The Escapist
Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor's Helen
Ben Hopkins' The Market: A Tale Of Trade.

The 15 selections in the Avant-premiere section include The Duchess, Hunger French Film, Man On Wire, Of Time And The City, and The Meerkats.

The festival will host a Daphne Du Maurier retrospective and honour Hugh Hudson.

Dinard opens with Hudson's My Life So Far and closes with Shane Meadows' Somers Town.

The Special Screening is Young@Heart.

The Hitchcock jury will be led by Lambert Wilson.

As usual, the French and British national film schools La Femis and NFTS will be submitting 3 short films to compete for the British Council Entente Cordial award.
