The Screen East MediaNetwork will host d-media, the Digital Media Conference, on December 1-2 at theGrand Hotel in Brighton. The theme of the conference is "convergence is areality: how to thrive in the 'converged' world."

Theconference will discuss the changing role of games, TV, film and animation andemerging distribution platforms.

The speakers will includeChris Deering, former president of Sony Europe; Pete Buckingham, head ofthe distribution and exhibition at the UKFilm Council; Simon Fell, ITV'shead of emerging technology; Paul Trijbits, head ofthe new cinema fund at the UK Film Council; Richard Ayers, portal director for Tiscali UK; Colin Brown of Cinesite; producer Carl Clifton and others.

The South East Media Networkis a new business-led consortium supporting the South East of England's digitalcontent businesses. SEMN is headed by Gina Fegan, whowas previously CEO of Screen South.
