Film4 will launch this year’s Summer Screen with the UK premiere of Pedro Almodovar’s Broken Embraces on July 30.

The season of opening air screenings, which is held at London’s Somerset House, will also include Slumdog Millionaire, A Matter Of Loaf And Death and a Alien / Poltergeist double bill.

This year, Film4 and Somerset House are working with BAFTA to offer fans the chance to meet key movie industry figures. The Behind The Screen programme will include family workshops and afternoon weekend showings.
