Bruce Tuchman has been promoted to president of MGM Networks and will continue to be based in New York City.

Tuchman reports to MGM chairman and CEO Harry Sloan and will continue to oversee the division, which manages and develops the company's activities in MGM and non-MGM branded international television channels and services distributed via cable, satellite, IPTV, SVOD, mobile and other platforms.

The executive also oversees MGM's ownership stake in the Casa Club home and lifestyle channel, which targets viewers in Latin America and Spanish-speakers in the US, as well as a variety of Pay TV networks run in conjunction with other studios in Latin America, Australia and Japan.

Tuchman presided over the recent launch of The MGM Channel on Sky Italia and signed a Indian cable and satellite distribution deal with News Corp's Star Media and DEN Digital Entertainment.

He most recently served as executive vice president of MGM Networks since joining the studio in 2001. Prior to that he served for seven years as an executive in the international channel and new media divisions at Nickelodeon and MTV Networks.
