Spanish sales company Grupo PI announced it has closed an all rights deal in the US to TLA Releasing on Berlin Panorama entry Bulgarian Lovers (Los Novios Bulgaros) (pictured).

Veteran director Eloy de la Iglesia's first feature film since the 1980's, Bulgarian Lovers tells the story of an affluent Madrid lawyer whose love affair with a young Bulgarian man jeopardises his social standing and ultimately his life.

The Madrid-based company says it also sold all rights in Benelux and Morocco to CN Cinema, and free and pay TV rights in Australia to SBS and Pan TV, respectively, on popular comedy My Mother Likes Women (A Mi Madre Le Gustan Las Mujeres).

Other deals closed between Berlin and the AFM include theatrical rights in Ecuador to Importador El Rosado on Alvaro Sainz de Heredia's Corazon De Bombon, and free-to-air TV rights in Portugal to RTP on five catalogue titles: La Buena Estrella, El Perro Del Hortelano, Extranos, Adosados and Cancion De Cuna.
