Norwegian sales outfit BV International has had a busy start to the market and even struck one deal while it was unpacking its boxes on Saturday.

It sold Minotaur, its Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and Derek Jacobi teen horror, to New World for Thailand. On the eve of the market it also sold the picture to Legend for Germany and to Artfree for Greece.

Icon Entertainment pre-bought Australian and New Zealand rights to Thunderstruck, a musical story of AC/DC-obsessed misfits produced by Priscilla Queen Of The Desert producer Al Clark and directed by Darren Ashton. Production gets underway in March next year.

Its Vietnamese drama Song Of The Stork (Ku Khuc Con Co) was sold to Celestial Pictures for Singapore and Malaysian TV, Bin for Vietnam and NVC for Poland. It previously went to Edko for Hong Kong and Gaga for Japan. Germany's Legend became the first distributor to pre-buy One Love, a Jamaican music scene picture currently in production under the direction of Don Letts and produced by Nik Powell.
