Amanda Byneshas signed to star in Media 8 Entertainment's Lovewrecked, a familycomedy in the vein of Freaky Friday that Randal Kleiser will direct.

The picture isdue to begin shooting in the Caribbean in June and centres on two teenagers whovie for the affections of a rock star at a vacation resort.

Nancy Nayor hassigned on as casting director and has begun searching for the remaining cast.

StephenLangford wrote the screenplay and Media 8's Stewart Hall will produce withBacon & Eggs' Joe Anderson and Wendy Thorlakson.

"We arethrilled to have Amanda Bynes on board for Lovewrecked," Hall said in astatement. "She's an incredibly gifted and charming comic actress and thisproject will be a great showcase for her talents."

The deal was negotiated by UTA and Dave Feldman of Bloom, Hergott &Diemer for Bynes and by Christa Zofcin, director of business & legalaffairs, for Media 8 Entertainment.

Following onfrom the success of Monster, Media 8 is gearing up for production aspart of its strategy to produce, finance and distribute at least eight films ayear.

This is Bynes'firs production since the romantic comedy What A Girl Wants. Kleiser'sdirecting credits include Grease and The Blue Lagoon.
