Nicolas Cage will reunite with his Gone In 60 Seconds director Dominic Sena for Relativity Media and Atlas Entertainment's supernatural thriller Season Of The Witch.

Production is scheduled to start in Austria and Hungary in early November on the story of 14th century knights who transport a girl suspected of being the witch who spread the Black Death pandemic across Europe. Bragi Schut Jr wrote the screenplay.

Atlas' Charles Roven and Alex Gartner are producing and Roven is no stranger to Cage following their collaboration on 1998's City Of Angels, which grossed just below $200m worldwide.

Atlas and Relativity worked together earlier this year on The Bank Job starring Jason Statham.

Attorneys Jake Bloom and Patrick Knapp brokered the deal for Season Of The Witch and Cage is represented by CAA.

Atlas recently signed a first-look deal with Sony and is in post-production on Tom Tykwer's thriller The International starring Clive Owen and Naomi Watts that Sony has earmarked for release on February 13, 2009.
