Fandango Portobello Sales has sold Italo-Turkish director Ferzan Ozpetek’s Loose Cannons (Mine Vaganti) to seven territories.

The family comedy, which is produced by Fandango’s Domenico Procacci, has been acquired for Spain (Vertigo Films), Benelux (ABC/Cinemien Distribution), Brazil (Imovision), Australia and New Zealand (Transmission Films), Germany and Austria (Prokino), Poland (Vivarto) and Mexico (CTV).

The $9.6m (€7m) film, which is released in Italy on March 12, follows two brothers from a prominent Italian family, who are both secretly gay. When the younger of the two confides to his brother that he plans to come out and leave the family behind, his older sibling thwarts his plan by doing it first.
