Focus Features has promoted three longtime members of the publicity team to executive positions. East Coast-based VJ Carbone, who most recently served as director of national publicity, West Coast-based Harlan Gulko, most recently director of national publicity, and Kyle Thorpe, most recently director of field publicity, have all been promoted to vice president of publicity.

All three will report directly to Focus president of worldwide publicity and executive vice president of marketing Adriene Bowles.

Omar Gonzales has joined Focus' East Coast publicity department in a senior publicist capacity. Senior vice president publicity Donna Dickman continues to head the company's East Coast publicity department.

Carbone joined Focus in 2004, and has led publicity on such films as The Constant Gardener and Hot Fuzz. Gulko joined Focus shortly after its inception in 2002, and has led publicity on Brokeback Mountain and The Motorcycle Diaries. Thorpe joined in 2004, and has co-ordinated field efforts on Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind and Brokeback Mountain, among others.

Gonzales previously served as a publicist at DreamWorks Pictures for five years, working on campaigns for such films as Old School and Match Point.
