Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz and Jesse Williams will join previously announced Oscar nominee Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford in UA's horror project The Cabin In The Woods.

Drew Goddard is directing from a screenplay by Goddard and Joss Whedon, who is also producing. Details of the plot remain under wraps.

Production is underway and the film is scheduled to open wide through MGM on February 5, 2010.

'Finding this ensemble has been very hard and very rewarding,' Whedon said. 'Each of the kids is unique, fascinating and talented, and like true friends, the group is more than the sum of its parts.

'These are people you care about, able to go toe-to-toe with the amazing actors we've corralled thus far I can't wait to harm them.'

Connolly is represented by Paradigm, Hemsworth by IFA and managed by ROAR, Hutchison by Marquee Mgt and attorney Neil Meyer of Stone, Meyer, Genow, Smelkinson & Binder, LLP.

Kranz is represented by Endeavor and managed by Becca Kovacik of The Hofflund Company, while Williams is handled by Endeavor and managed by Jill Littman of Impression Entertainment.
