Screen Gems, Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and Chris Rock have rounded out the cast on their American remake of the 2007 UK film Death At A Funeral.

Joining Rock, who is starring, producing and co-writing the screenplay, are Loretta Devine, Ron Glass, Danny Glover, Regina Hall, Martin Lawrence, James Marsden, Tracy Morgan, Zoe Saldana and Columbus Short.

Neil LaBute will direct from a screenplay by Rock and Aeysha Carr and production is set to begin in spring. Sidney Kimmel, William Horberg and Rock will produce along with Share Stallings and Laurence Malkin. Both Stallings and Malkin produced the original.

Jim Tauber and Dean Craig, who wrote the 2007 film's screenplay, will serve as executive producers.

Death At A Funeral tells the story of a dysfunctional family that gathers for the patriarch's funeral when a man arrives and declares he is the dead man's gay lover and threatens blackmail.

Screen Gems president Clint Culpepper and senior vice president of production Scott Strauss will oversee the project for the studio.

Rock, Glover, Saldana and LaBute are represented by ICM. Lawrence and Short are represented by CAA. Devine is represented by Innovative Artists. Glass is represented by Mitchell K Stubbs & Associates. Hall is represented by Paradigm. Marsden and Morgan are represented by Endeavor.
