A newmockumentary Razzle Dazzle promises to lift the lid on the spangle-clad world of children'sdance troupes. The project, just added to Celluloid Dreams' AFM slate, is beingscripted by Carolyn Wilson and longtime Ricky Gervais collaborator Robin Ince.from an original story by Daren Ashton and Carolyn Wilson.

The $1.5 millionfeature will shoot shortly on location in Sydney, Australia, and will be readyfor delivery by next year's Cannes Festival. Razzle Dazzle is produced by Jodi Matterson (Thunderstruck) and exec-produced by Andrena Finlay (MeMyself I) and Al Clark (Priscilla,Queen of the Desert , Chopper) Celluloid is beginning pre-sales during AFM.

The cast isheadlined by Ben Miller (Birthday Girl), Kerry Armstrong (Lantana) and Paul Mercurio (Strictly Ballroom). Dance sequences are beingchoreographed by John O Connell (Moulin Rouge, Strictly Ballroom, Shall We Dance)

The film willexpose the highly competitive world of children's dance troupes, the dedicatedinstructors who train them, and their most ferociously driven supporters- their mothers. It's set against the backdrop of Mr Jonathon's Dance andTalent School, an establishment where the high-kicking tots are trained up forgrand final success at Australia s most prestigious dance competition the Sanosafe Troupe Spectacular.
