Paris-based international sales house Celluloid Dreams has pickedup all international rights on Kyle Henry's US drama Room, which was announced earlier this weekin the Directors' Fortnight line-up at Cannes.

Cyndi Williams stars in the story of a working class Americanwoman who begins to have strange visions following a mid-life crisis.

Jesse Scolaro, Allen Bain, and Darren Goldberg produced theproject through their production company The 7th Floor. Jim McKay, MichaelStipe, John Leisenring and Randy B Fields served as executive producers.

Chris Pizzo of Carmichael Films is representing the picture forNorth American sales following its premiere at Sundance earlier this year.

"We are proud to add such an original and daring voice in Americanindependent cinema to our slate," Celluloid president Hegameh Panahi said in astatement.

"In Room,we immediately saw an intelligent and a fascinating character study upheld by astunning central performance."

The 7th Floor'scredits include Eric Eason's Manito, Bruno Dumont's Twentynine Palms, Brant Sersen's Blackballed: TheBobby Dukes Story, andSam Neave's Cry Funny Happy.
