UK based sales outfit Celsius has signed to handle world sales on DouglasMackinnon's The Flying Scotsman.

The Flying Scotsman is the true story of Graeme Obree, a Scottishamateur cyclist who in 1994 went on to break the world Hour Record on a bike hebuilt at home, using parts from an old BMX and even a discarded washingmachine. The cast includes Jonny Lee Miller as theScottish legend and Billy Boyd, Brian Cox, Laura Fraser and Steven Berkoff.

Douglas Mackinnon is bestknown for his work on British network dramas, directing episodes and seriessuch as Bodies, The Last Detective, A GoodThief and Silent Witness.

The film, which recentlyfinished shooting in Scotland and Germany, is produced by Peter Broughan'sBronco Films (Rob Roy) and Damita Nikapota (Forever Mine). Rights have been alreadybeen sold to Italy, Portugal and Scandanavia. A promoreel will be presented to buyers at the AFM.

Thierry Wase-Baileyand Tim Grohne's Celsius launched at last year's AFMand The Flying Scotsman marks thesixth film it has signed on for international sales. Its line-up includes Crusade, Paris Je T'Aime, River Queen, The Gospel According to Janis and Tara Road.
