Moving tobolster the production and development divisions at Myriad Pictures, companypresident Kirk D'Amico today (Feb 4) announced that former vice presidentof acquisitions and development Karen Roberts has signed a three-pictureproducing deal with the company. In addition, Neil Butler has been promoted todirector of development and JC Rappaport becomes manager of acquisitions. Underthe in-house producing pact Roberts, who has worked with Myriad since Jul 2000,will produce the romantic comedy I'll Be You and the college campus thriller BreakingThe Girl. The thirdpicture is being finalised.

Butler, whostarted at Myriad as executive assistant to production chief Lucas Foster, willnow be responsible for establishing relationships with new writers andbringing-profile projects to Myriad. He will report directly to Foster.Rappaport, who for the last two years has been D'Amico's executiveassistant, will oversee the daily running of the acquisitions department andtour the festival circuit for possible distribution projects.

Current Myriadprojects include Antonio Banderas and Emma Thompson in Imagining Argentina with Arenas Entertainment and UniversalStudios and the teen horror picture Jeepers Creepers 2 for MGM.
