Charles is the Managing Partner (USA) of ICFC Executive Search's New York office, a division of Searchlight Recruitment Inc., (Canada). He has an extensive background in media, commercial and retail property, cinema construction/design, and private equity cinema financing. He is one of the most experienced executives in both the domestic and international cinema industry with over 40 years in exhibition and distribution.
Charles was the first Chairman and CEO of American Multi Cinema (AMC) International UK (subsequently known as UCI), where he developed, built and operated the first multiplex cinema in the UK and oversaw the expansion of UCI into the largest multiplex cinema exhibitor in Europe.
Charles was also founder and Chairman of EuroPlex Cinemas B.V., with operations in Switzerland, Italy and Greece. He has been involved with Village Roadshow Europe, Lumière Pavilion Cinemas China, Golden Harvest Cinemas Hong Kong and China, Easy Cinema UK, and the Cineplex Odeon Corporation.

This is a wonderful tribute to Lord Attenborough. As Lord Puttnam stated, he was always a tremendous supporter of the British Film and Cinema industry. It was a privilege for me to have his energy and dedication in assisting the effort of AMC to develop and build new multiplex cinemas back in 1984. Lords Puttnam and Attenborough deserve as much credit for the growth of the industry as anyone in the last 30 years.
