Warner Brosenjoyed another successful weekend as distributor of two local language hits inEurope.

In Germany, thecomedy-drama Good Bye, Lenin! added $1.8m (Euros 1.7m) to became the second highest grossingGerman picture released in the last three years (behind Der Shuh Des Manitu), with an estimated $30.5m (Euros 28.4m)running total.

After five weeksat the top, the X-Verleih presentation of an X-Film Creative Pool Production,which is being distributed by Warner Bros, finished second behind BVI opener TheJungle Book 2.

Meanwhile the comedy Chouchou held on to top spot for the third consecutive weekand elevated its cumulative score to $13.9m (Euros 13.1m).

The picture,produced by Les Films Christian Fechner and distributed by Warner Bros,recorded 86,200 admissions on 44 screens in Paris/suburbs and 502,000admissions on 554 screens nationwide.

Chouchou beat off local openers Le Coeur DesHommes and Laisse TesMains Sur Mes Hanchesand Hollywood holdovers The Hours and Daredevil.
