Qube Cinema announced it will install 39 Qube XP-D servers for distributor Kuwait National Cinema Company, completing the chain’s transition to digital cinema. Qube digital cinema systems are upgradeable and can be outfitted for full 4K playback with the addition of Qube Xi 4K Integrated Media Blocks.

  • Audio processor and related tools manufacturer Digital Media Solutions (DMS) and 3D spatial audio software-based solutions technology provider GenAudio have struck a partnership to enhance cinema audio without the need for additional speakers. According to a press release issue by the companies, the Cineaudio processor unit integrated with AstoundSurround for cinema software “takes the multi-channel audio printmaster with discrete channel inputs in real-time and renders the same multi-channel audio experience in any existing 5.1 multi-channel audio equipped room, maintaining all panning information. Deployment of the Cineaudio AstoundSurround will begin this summer. The companies did not announce pricing.
