Cinemavault Releasing International has picked up two documentaries for EFM and will begin sales here on Michele Ohayon's Berlinale Special selection Steal A Pencil For Me and Matt Ogens' Confessions Of A Superhero.

Steal A Pencil For Me screens in the festival on Feb 14 and charts the secret love affair between a married concentration camp intern and a woman in a neighbouring barrack. They eventually got married after the camp was liberated and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2006.

The film was an official selection at the Hamptons Film Festival, SXSW Film Festival and Jerusalem Film Festival and received the audience award at the Sonoma Film Festival. Seventh Art Releasing holds US theatrical rights and Red Envelope Entertainment and Westlake Entertainment will release on DVD on Mar 25.

AFI FEST official selection Confessions Of A Superhero is presented by Morgan Spurlock and chronicles the lives of three men and a woman who ply their trade dressed up as superhero characters on Hollywood Boulevard. Red Envelope holds US rights.

Cinemavault's CEO Nick Stiliadis and vice president of acquisitions Michael Paszt negotiated the deals with Bob Aaronson of Red Envelope Entertainment. Cinemavault will screen both films at the EFM.
