Regional screen agency Screen Yorkshire has announced that Clare Morrow will head its Industry Development team.

Morrow takes her post in January. Until April she was controller of programmes north for ITV, and currently works as a freelance executive producer and manager of the Broadcasting and Creative Industries Disability Network.

'I am delighted to be joining Screen Yorkshire at an exciting time for the industry with the BBC's plans to move significant production north,' she said. 'I am committed to working hard to create and support maximum opportunities for content makers in Yorkshire to grow their businesses and play a significant role in the UK's creative industries.'

Also, Steve Hewlett and Jonathan Kingsbury will join Screen Yorkshire 's board.

Hewlett is a former Channel 4 and Carlton executive who now works as a broadcasting consultant. Kingsbury is head of external supply at BBC Future Media & Technology.

Screen Yorkshire has recently backed films including Brideshead Revisited and The Cottage.
