Montreal's Festival duNouveau Cinema will screen a selection of titles from the Cannes festival,including Ken Loach's Palmed'Or-winner TheWind That Shakes The Barley, Pedro Almodovar's Best Screenplay-winner Volver and Philippe Falardeau's Congorama, whichhas been selected to open the Montreal festival.

The FNC said it expects both Loach and Almodovar to be in attendance. Meanwhile, local hero Falardeau will bring his entire cast -- Olivier Gourmet,Paul Ahmarani, Jean-Pierre Cassel,Claudia Tagbo and France Castell-- and crew to the opening premiere.

TheWind That Shakes The Barley and Congorama will be distributed in Quebec by Christal Films while Volver is handled by Seville Pictures.

Canada's longest-running international filmfestival, the 35th FNC runs from Oct 18 to 28, preceded by thesecond edition of digital entertainment technology forum, DigiMart.
