Germany's production outfit Constantin Film has closed a multi-picture agreement with LA-based completion bond company International Film Guarantors (IFG) under which IFG will be Constantin's principal completion guarantor.

The first film to be overseen by IFG's Los Angeles office is the comedy Slap Her, She's French which began shooting in November in Dallas, Texas, and stars Piper Perabo. Director is Melanie Mayron and producers are Beau Flynn, Jonathan King and Matthais Emcke. Constantin's Bernd Eichinger is executive producer. Fox Searchlight has domestic rights to the film which is being sold internationally by Intermedia.

IFG has bonded previous Constantin projects including The Calling, Prince Valiant, Wrongfully Accused and Smilla's Sense Of Snow.

Constantin Film's next feature, to start filming early next year, is Resident Evil directed by Paul Anderson and starring Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez. Intermedia is again handling international sales rights.

Among the films recently bonded by IFG are The Legend Of Bagger Vance, The Wedding Planner, The Mothman Prophecies, Spy Game, The Score, Tomb Raider and Affair Of The Necklace. The company is partnered with insurance companies Near North National Group and Fireman's Fund Insurance Co.
